Lapalala, which is managed by the Lapalala Wilderness Foundation NPC, provides a safe habitat for all of the species that existed historically, including what are now rare and endangered species of flora and fauna, through its widely acclaimed conservation and research efforts.
The reserve creates employment opportunities and the transfer of skills for our surrounding communities, with an emphasis on establishing small businesses in support of the wildlife economy.
The Lapalala Wilderness School works to provide environmental education for future generations and empower them to become South Africa’s future conservation champions.
