If you dream of spending time in the unspoilt and quintessentially African wilderness, then our Volunteer Programme makes that dream come true.
You’ll be joining the Lapalala Research & Monitoring Team on activities ranging from monitoring injured wildlife, collecting research data, and assisting in veterinary activities, to placing camera traps, feeding wildlife in our temporary boma facilities, and taking part in our animal rewilding programmes.
Lapalala Wilderness has been globally recognised for its conservation efforts since its foundation in 1981, and was proclaimed an official protected nature conservation area in 2020. The unique Lapalala Wilderness Nature Reserve spans 48,000 hectares of unspoiled African wilderness, and is home to a diverse range of African wildlife species, including the Big Five: lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo.
Your support contributes directly to the future of African wildlife, and more specifically towards the protection of endangered species such as cheetah, African wild dog, rhinoceros and the African pangolin.
