OBSA Combined Course

Lapalala Wilderness School is proud to be in partnership with Outward Bound South Africa. Outward Bound’s experiential outdoor methodology was pioneered in Britain in 1941 and is operating in more than 30 countries worldwide. South African operations started in 1992 focusing primarily on personal development of the individual, and through individuals, communities.

Together, Lapalala Wilderness School and Outward Bound South Africa have developed joint courses, hosted at Lapalala Wilderness. Schools can visit from four to ten nights. Half of the course will be spent out in the 1200ha of the school area with the highly experienced Outward Bound instructors learning intra-and inter-personal skills, while the other half will be spent at the Wilderness School for a more intense focus on environmental education. Each course will be tailor-made to fit a group’s individual requirements and can also include community service.
